Adriana Ramirez, MD is a researcher with the HQSS Commission. She is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela growing up in Southeastern United States. She is a General Surgery resident at the University of Virginia and is completing a Master of Public Health with a focus in Health Policy at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research and clinical experience has taken her to East Africa and Central America. She hopes to work in impact evaluation of policy initiatives on surgical performance and improving quality measurement of health systems. In her spare time, she is an avid rock climber and mountaineering enthusiast.
