Dennis is a Data Analyst and Coordinator with the HQSS Commission. Hannah Leslie

Hannah Leslie is the Research Lead of Working Group 2: Measurement. Hannah received her MPH and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley; her research interests include causal inference methods and the measurement of unobserved constructs such as health system quality and community social cohesion. Lyn Macarayan

Erlyn Macarayan is a postdoctoral researcher at HQSS and Ariadne Labs. She recently completed a year of postdoctoral research in epidemiology at Yale University. She earned a PhD in health systems at the University of Queensland in Australia. Lyn has also worked on projects with the Gavi Vaccine Alliance in Switzerland and the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Denmark, as well as a presidential policy officer in the Philippines.…

Daniel McKenna

Daniel McKenna is the HQSS Commission Project Assistant. He received a BA from Northeastern University in Environmental Studies, with a focus on local food systems. Daniel has previously worked as an intern at the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and as a Farmers’ Market Manager for Roslindale Village Main Street.

Emilia Ling

Emilia Ling is a researcher and the HQSS Commission Communications Lead. She received her Masters in Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she focused on infectious diseases and humanitarian response. She completed her thesis on social determinants of tuberculosis infection in household contacts in Peru. Emilia enjoys kickboxing and cycling.

Hannah James

Hannah James is a researcher with the HQSS Commission. She is currently a graduate student in the SM2 degree program in the Department of Global Health and Population, and she graduated from Cornell University in 2015 with a major in Human Biology, Health and Society, and a minor in Global Health. She is interested in implementation science and building resilience/capacity of health systems, especially in low-resource settings. 

Jigyasa Sharma

Jigyasa Sharma is researcher with the HQSS Commission.  She is a doctoral student in the Department of Global Health and Population majoring in the Population and Reproductive Health, with minors in Quantitative Methods and Health Systems. Originally from Nepal, Jigyasa received an MSc. in Public Health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from McGill University, and A.B. in Biological Sciences and Politics from Mount Holyoke College.  She is also up-to-date on the latest celebrity gossip in Bollywood! 

Sohini Mukherjee

Sohini Mukherjee is a researcher with the HQSS Commission. She is a first year Master of Science student in the Department of Global Health and Population. She is interested in health systems and policy, particularly related to gender equity and maternal health.  In her free time she enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes and cuisines. 

Naima Joseph

Naima Joseph is researcher with the HQSS Commission.  She is a Women’s Global Health Fellow in the Connor’s Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Sanam Roder-DeWan

Sanam Roder-DeWan is the Research Lead for Working Group 3. Keely Jordan

Keely Jordan is the Research Lead of Working Group 4: Ethics and Equity. Keely received her MSc in Global Health at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), completing her thesis on improving access to high-quality maternal health services. She is currently a PhD student in Public Health Policy at the College of Global Public Health, New York University. She is an avid cook and yoga instructor. 

Catherine Arsenault

Catherine is the Research Lead of Working Group 1: Definition and Description. She is completing a PhD in Epidemiology at McGill University. Catherine has worked on the measurement of inequalities, the determinants and distribution of vaccination coverage, the incidence of catastrophic health spending and on the determinants of obstetric care provider knowledge in Mali. Catherine also speaks French and has a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Mathilda Regan

Mathilda is a researcher with the HQSS Commission. She is a first year doctoral student in Global Health and Population. Previously she received an MPH from UC Berkeley in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and worked on a research study in Western Kenya looking at child health and development.  Mathilda has a Kenyan dog named Juma who has been adapting well to the Boston winter.

Lynn Lingrui Liu

Lynn is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
